If you feel like a good laugh and a hearty breakfast; on Sunday the 20th of October, the Highfields Pioneer Village is hosting the Bush Poets Breakfast from 7:30am to 9:30am showcasing bush humour by renowned poet Wally Finch.
Wally Finch is a quick-witted comedic force, and one of Australia’s most renowned bush poets, with many accolades to his name.
‘The Bear’ recounts parts of Australian outback history schools would never dare teach, with comedic-zest and great enthusiasm – drawing his inspiration from Australian folklore, heritage and multiculturalist traits.
Hailing from Morayfield, this Australian bush poet extraordinaire is famous for taking home 48 awards early-on in his career and for winning 11 out of 12 poetry competitions!
The $20 ticket allows entry to the bush poetry, the bush poetry writing workshop if you choose, a fully cooked breakfast and the day at the Highfields Pioneer Village
In Toowoomba tickets can be purchased from Rhonda’s Refits, 100 Taylor St, Toowoomba. 4637 8933 – EFTPOS available. Phone through and we can have the tickets available for payment and collection at the door.
All proceeds aid the Highfields Pioneer Village and the Rockville Scouts Group. Ticket includes: full cooked brekkie, billy tea, entertainment and entry. Be there from 7.00am for a 7:30 start and finishes at 9:30am.
Your ticket includes entry to over 70 historic buildings which will bring back memories from a time gone by.
