The Global Battle of the Bands (GBOB) (www.gbob.com) is heading to the Windsor Hotel for the Dalby Heat!

GBOB is a huge international event with over 30 countries involved. The first prize is worth US$100,000 and gives the winners the title of ‘Best New Band in the World’!
Dalby and Regional bands looking for a head start in their music career, and a chance to play on the World Stage, should apply to take part in the Global Battle of the Bands. Great original bands that have not yet received the recognition they deserve, now have the chance to make it big through GBOB.

The Dalby Heat will be conducted on Sun 27 Oct from 3pm. It will be an awesome all ages event that shouldn’t be missed! Bands wanting to take part in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity need to contact organisers now by emailing redletter@bigpond.com or calling 02 9519 3978.

O’Sheas Birite Music Store will be sponsoring the Dalby event with cool prizes for the bands. As well as that, all Heat winners will be given 4 Free Custom-made Band Tshirts by LabelState.com plus the opportunity to have ongoing Band Merchandise supplied from which they can earn royalties, all at no cost to the band!

LabelState.com will also supply a Free “GBOB Finalist” Tshirt to every band member who makes the Australasian Final. Other Finalist prizes include uber popular Converse Chuck Taylor shoes, and the hottest thing in cool underwear – DingoDudes (anti bacterial, anti allergenic jocks made from organically grown bamboo…never felt anything softer…they’re amazing!). And there’s more!

All Finalists will be in the running for 3 Days Free Recording at Melbourne’s state-of-the-art facility, Black Pearl Studios (www.blackpearlstudios.com.au ), and the chance to perform at the After Party of MusicOz’s Australian Independent Music Awards. Pretty cool!

In addition, the Australasian Final winner will also be featured on the busy music website Hotsource.com.au and have the opportunity to be covered by Home Brew Radio and Australian Guitar Magazine.

Music lovers should make sure they get to the show too, so they can check out the best bands Dalby and district has to offer, and cheer on their favourite!  Toowoomba bands are also welcome to enter. It will be exciting to see which band gets through, and there will be cool audience giveaways!
