The Ideas2Market Introductory workshop is run by the QueenslandGovernment’s Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation (DEEDI) in conjunction with the Australian Institute for Commercialisation (AIC).
It is designed to help those considering starting their own business and provide the skills required to turn a great idea or invention into commercial success.
Attendees will learn about the different paths to market, how to ensure their idea is feasible and what markets they should target, how to structure a company, write a business plan, find funding, protect their intellectual property and create a successful brand.
Sessions are included from intellectual property specialists, marketing and finance experts and other successful local business owners, who will share their experiences and lessons learned from starting and running an enterprise.
Genevieve Langbien, Education Manager at the AIC, said past workshops had received fantastic feedback.
“The Ideas2Market Introductory workshop is packed full of essential information on how to start a business; we know attendees leave with a far more solid plan and action list than they had at the start of the day,” Ms Langbien said.
The Ideas2Market Introductory workshop is $110.00 per person. For more information or to register please visit www.ausicom.com/ideas2market or call the AIC on (07) 3853 5292.
