Model Railroading At Toowoomba Royal Show

The Heritage Toowoomba Royal Show is on this week, Thursday 11th, Friday 12th and Saturday 13th April at the Toowoomba Showgrounds, Glenvale Road, Toowoomba, QLD.

The Darling Downs Model Railway Club Inc. will have the Model Railway Museum & Display Centre open from 9am till 6pm each day of the show. Drop in and see operating model train layouts in HO and N scales, see the worlds smallest commercial model trains, enjoy the Baillie Boys Carnival Show with day/night lighting effects and many operating rides for the HO people to enjoy. The Baillie Boys have even imported some animated ‘chooks’ – you will be amazed at these true to life operating miniatures.

3D Printed samples will be on display, the new avenue for enjoying model railroading and many other hobbies. Museum artefacts going back to the Clockwork Days, Hornby Dublo, Marklin and many other items are on display and  constant screening of train oriented subjects can be seen on the in-house TV.

The Museum & Display Centre is wheelchair friendly and can be found just across the road from the southern end of the Berghofer Pavilion. Entry is Free, but we always appreciate a gold coin donation to help keep this wonderful attraction going and expanding for your enjoyment.

Yours in Model Railroading,
Ted (Teditor) Freeman
