Rain Won’t Dampen Wonderland Of Lights

The Christmas spirit is truly alive & well in Toowoomba.

The community has turned out in huge numbers for Toowoomba’s Wonderland of Lights in the Botanical Gardens of Queens Park and organisers are gearing for a big finish with the lights in full blaze through to Christmas Eve.

Rain, hail or shine (well, maybe not the hail!!), the Lions Club of Toowoomba West, who stage Toowoomba’s Christmas Wonderland of Lights, want everyone to come out and enjoy the festivities & entertainment for the final nights.

Event Chairman Marshall Cox said record numbers have passed through the gates. “We are flat out with huge crowds and we want a big finish to the event.”

Toowoomba’s Christmas Wonderland of Lights will run through to Christmas Eve 24th December 2009 from 7.00pm to 10.00pm each night in the Botanical Gardens of Queens Park. There are two entrances. The southern end of Godsall Street (where there is good on street parking) and the Lindsay Street entrance (opposite the Toowoomba Bowls Club).

There is entertainment every night, glow products, free ice creams for the kids, complimentary tea and coffee plus much, much more. Entry is by way of a gold coin donation for Toowoomba charities.
