Channel 7 Queensland, a major presenter of the Queensland Regional Achievement and Community Awards is asking for people to nominate an organisation or individual you may know making a valuable contribution within regional and rural Queensland. Nominations are open across six Award categories:

• The Prime Super Community of the Year Award
• The Peabody Environment and Landcare Award
• Origin on behalf of Australia Pacific LNG Regional Service Award
• The Reay Services Energy and Sustainability Award
• The Buzz Print Events and Tourism Award
• The Safeguard Youth Leadership Award

The program was initiated to reward people making an exceptional contribution to their local community and playing a vital role in building and improving their region, all whilst seeking little or no recognition. The search for 2014 has begun, stand up, be counted and rewarded for your outstanding contribution to our local community.

As the major prize patron, Commonwealth Bank will present each award winner with a $2,500 Debit Mastercard Account and each winner will be put forward for the Commonwealth Bank Special Commendation Award, with the chance to win a further $2,500.

Winners will be announced on the Sunshine Coast at the Gala Dinner Presentation at the Events Centre Caloundra, on Saturday 8th November 2014.
