Darling Downs Health is proud to present Pittsworth’s Biennial Health Expo, to be held from 9am to 3pm,on Thursday 23rd May at the Pittsworth Town Hall.
Expo organiser, community health nurse Helen Blanch, from Millmerran Multipurpose Health Service (MPHS), said the 2019 Expo would have something for everyone. “This year’s Expo will feature health information for people of all ages, from birth to aged care, with more than 50 stalls of local and visiting health professionals,” Ms Blanch said.
“There will be information and displays from BreastScreen, BowelScreen and the Darling Downs Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Service. “Other exhibitors include Dementia Australia, Clubhouse, Lions, Rotary, Toowoomba and Darling Downs Diabetic Support Group, NDIS agents, several aged care providers, Men’s Shed, and also information on early childhood intervention services, Bowen therapy, art therapy and optometry.
“Another special addition to this year’s event is the addition of a free Health Pitstop, so anyone who attends can get things like their blood pressure checked on the spot. There will be 4 stations ….

“We will also have free mini massages, a sugar content information session presented by Millmerran MPHS, there’ll be coffee available and once again a delicious lunch available to purchase, prepared by the ladies of the Beauaraba CWA.
