Jenny is multi-award winning costume and fabric artist. She combines her love of flowers, colour, sumptuous fabrics and the slightly outrageous to create remarkable works of art.

Six of her wearable art pieces are on display including her newest creation, “Peony” inspired by the Coral Sunset Peony.

Many years of sewing and quilting led to Jenny’s involvement in costuming for theatre, film and opera in the 1990’s. She became a multiple award winner in the Montana World of Wearable Art competion in New Zealand.

Jenny Gillies has since staged numerous performances showcasing her floral designs in the Christchurch Cathedral, as part of the city’s Festival of Flowers, at the Ellerslie International Flower Show in Auckland in 2007, and in Christchurch in 2009 and at the Royal Adelaide Show in 2009 and 2010.
